Base Leeds Fringe Event
We are pleased to announce that the recently formed Leeds Sustainability Institute (LSI) will be delivering a free breakfast event at the highly anticipated BASE Leeds conference this September focusing on Building Information Modelling (BIM), Procurement & Retrofit. The event will feature a number of key speakers after which there will follow a Question & Answer session and discussion around the key themes (the livelier the debate, the better!).
As an additional offer, any individual who signs up to the Fringe event will also receive a free ticket to the full conference (normally £200).
Speakers
Procurement David Outram, Head of Public Private Partnerships, Leeds City Council. David will be talking about the future of public sector procurement including new processes and contract categorisation.
BIM Tim Platts, TP Professional Services. Tim will be discussing the impact of BIM in the sector and in particular how this could affect the way in which projects are procured, project teams selected, and the approach contract strategy (and therefore risk)
Retrofit Janet Beckett, Low Carbon Consultant, Carbon Saver UK. Janet will be presenting on how to think like a designer for the best value carbon reduction solutions for every building, the do’s and don’ts in commercial retrofit including the most common mistakes and how to avoid them. Janet will also give a brief overview on retrofitting “renewables” and LZCT’s.
