thinkBIM reaches far and wide ! (@EEPaul)
The continued success of Leeds Metropolitan University's ThinkBIM events (organised by the Centre for Knowledge Exchange and facilitated by the BE2 team) saw last week's event reach out across the UK and around the world via social media. A quick look at the Twitter stats for the #tbim2013 hashtag (via Tweetreach) suggests the most recent 50 tweets (of an estimated 277) reached 36,114 accounts, with over 90,000 potential impressions. The half-day conference had some top speakers - notably Government BIM Task Group chairman Mark Bew and BuildingSmart UK's Nick Tune (both of whom also managed workshops) - and a US contribution from Nathan Wood of DPR Construction in California. As usual we managed to curate most of the content, as well as the CoverItLive live blog, Martin Brown collated tweets and presentations from the event into a Storify stream. Photos from the event are also available via Flickr (here; or see all ThinkBIM series photos) and as a Be2camp album. Presentations and videos (mainly for audio purposes) are on the event page http://be2camp.com/page/think-bim-construct
